Born in Yorkshire, England, Paul’s interest in photography started in his teens with a simple 35mm rangefinder camera, gaining a more formal education in photography whilst studying Graphic Design at Art College. His subsequent career in Graphic Design paid the mortgage but never completely lost touch with photography. Over the last two decades his photography has gained momentum and now devotes most of his time lecturing and running photography workshops.
Paul has had numerous exhibitions in the UK and has had articles and images published in many photography magazines. He is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society and currently sits on their distinctions panel.
Photography is a journey, alighting at various points along the way. Paul takes us on his own personal journey from his early days of using film through to digital capture. The one constant being that he is forever chasing the light.
